Robert Tannous holds a degree in political science and history, as well as a Bachelor of Law.
He is currently working as lawyer in the private sector, dealing with civil and commercial litigation matters. During his career, he has also slow his expertise to municipal law, an area of law he is passionate about.
Robert began his involvement in the municipal world of Town of Mount Royal as a young member of the Advisory Committee on Sports, Recreation and Community Services.
Raised in TMR and living now with his own young family, Robert has lived in our Garden City for almost 30 years. He has been involved in the community since he was a young boy, playing field hockey, soccer, working at day camps and volunteering in various activities.
Today, he is the captain of his field hockey team in the Town of Mount Royal Senior Hockey League. His stepdaughter, formerly of Dunrae, now attends Carlyle Elementary School.
His municipal experience as well as his professional career have given him a taste for civic-mindedness. Driven by a desire to represent the true interests of citizens, Robert joined Équipe Peter Malouf to address, among other things, safety and security concerns related to the city's heavy traffic.
